  • Student Council – Student Council is the student organization representing students at AIMC Berkeley. In addition to providing support and guidance to fellow students, the Council organizes a number of student events throughout the year including craft fairs, tea tastings, decompression rooms during finals, and end-of-term socials.
  • Campus Clubs – Student organizations such as our Rainbow Alliance, Gardening Club and Climate Club are great ways to connect with students with shared experiences and interests. If you would like to start a club or organization contact the Dean of Students.
  • Lunch & Learn Events – These free lunchtime presentations are open to all AIMC community members and cover a wide range of topics as building your own practice, volunteering in third world countries, treating the elderly, transitioning your practice, BIPOC access to care, mental health for caregivers, and much more.
  • Film Screenings – AIMC organizes screenings of documentaries and other films which are relevant to our field and community. Past events include Queer Film Night and a private screening of “Dope is Death.”
  • Workshops – There are often opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and/or skills beyond the classroom. Past and upcoming workshops include Salve Making, Decolonizing the Heart and Mind, and East Asian Medicine in America & Cultural Appropriation.

Testimonials

"One of my favorite things about AIMC is the sense of community. We come together to support each other through challenges. Instead of a sense of competitiveness between students, there is a caring community that lifts everybody up. The faculty and staff are approachable and provide wonderful support during your graduate journey."
