Come build community with us!!
Last term we met on Sundays from 6-7pm every 2-3 weeks. We haven’t set meetings yet for this term, but we’ll post them here once we do!
The zoom link will be sent to your school inbox a few days prior. We can also send you a google calendar invite with the zoom link, request those by emailing us. We’ll be planning events and brainstorming how to make the life of students at AIMC better.
Have a great idea for an event or a project? Come to a meeting and tell us about it! Need funding? Submit your idea to the Good Ideas Grant here.
Student Council is the student organization representing students at AIMC Berkeley. In addition to providing support and guidance to fellow students, the Council organizes a number of student events throughout the year including craft fairs, tea tastings, decompression rooms during finals, and end-of-term socials. All students are invited to participate in the council, and council activities are open to all students. Representatives meet every month internally, and host school-wide student meetings every month as well. If you have a suggestion for the Student Council, you can submit it here.
Mission Statement: The AIMC Student Council is organized for the purpose of advocating for our diverse student body by representing its ideas, needs, and priorities via transparent communication and a team-based approach to problem solving. We work to advance the interests and well-being of AIMC and its students through our proactive leadership role on campus. We strive to promote clear communication between students and the school administration and to champion the highest-quality academic experience. We encourage opportunities for AIMC students to enrich their connections to one another through social events, networking opportunities, and a cooperative school culture.
Questions about the Student Council can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Meeting dates are typically posted on the Community Calendar above.
"One of my favorite things about AIMC is the sense of community. We come together to support each other through challenges. Instead of a sense of competitiveness between students, there is a caring community that lifts everybody up. The faculty and staff are approachable and provide wonderful support during your graduate journey."- Master’s Student
